BFC field clean-up is Sun 3/17

WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP!
Being part of our organization means that everyone needs to pitch in to make this all happen. One of our most important dates to kicking off the season is our “Field Clean-Up and Prep Day” which will be Sun, March 17th starting at 9am. If you can’t be there first thing in the morning, you should still show up!
There is a lot to be done including the following:
- Hang the advertising banners
- Help spread the new pile of infield dirt and level the playing field
- Install expanding foam for temporary fence inserts
- Prep the foundation for our new shed
- Put up the net on the batting cage, insert the L-screen and batting mat
- Concession stand deep cleaning
- Clean out the storage area under the announcer’s booth including the mats on the floor.That filthy room needs to have everything removed, it should be hosed down, and then everything put back in it.
- Clean out the storage area (Electrical room)
- Clean out the announcers booth
- Pull out all of the bleachers and clean out the massive amounts of leaves and debris underneath
- Pull weeds around the infield and backstop
- Remove loose rocks and sticks from the field
- Re-Paint home plates on the bullpen areas
- Hang the new net on the new posts behind the LF bullpen
- Put the new bases together
- Put the new spray-paint field liner together
- Take the old bases and drag to the HS field
We can’t do this all by ourselves! Pleeeeeease, I beg of you, bring everyone you know to come help us do all of this, including your kids.
